Casa Solare is a great house, in a great town, at a great price. The house has been structurally restored by a local builder. So, all the heavy lifting is done - permissions granted, cement and steel melded together, full compliance with the latest anti-seismic regulations - and the result is a house of superior build quality.

Structurally restored houses like Casa Solare are exceptional in that they afford you nearly 100% creative license on how you layout the rooms and how you finish the house. In practical terms, Casa Solare requires 4-5 months to complete.

Casa Solare is a 3-floor house and is constructed of old brick, as is the tradition in this area of Loro Piceno. The ground floor is an open plan with three large double doors exiting onto the south-facing loggia. The sun just pours into both. This ground floor can accommodate a big kitchen, open living room/dining room and WC. The first floor layout is up to you - two big in-suite bedrooms are ideal, or, a master suite, two smaller bedrooms and family bath. A neat feature of Casa Solare is its "taverna" level that sits under the ground floor. It is ideal for an entertainment area, or, a great wine cellar and lounge… on a more practical level it can provide additional bedrooms or an office. There is also room for a garage.

The property enjoys lovely views of the rolling hills and verdant valleys that separate Loro Piceno and Mogliano. In the distance the majestic Sibillini Mountains peek out, as does the hilltop city of Corridonia. Loro Piceno was founded by the Romans and is famous today for its great festas and recent accolades for the DOC designation awarded to its famous desert wine, Vino Cotto, which is the motivation for a rousing weeklong festa in the summertime. You can drive to Loro Piceno in 5 minutes, or walk there in 20. The provincial capital of Macerata is 20 minutes' drive and the Adriatic beaches are reached in 30 minutes. The Murola Vineyards are 5 minutes from the house and are a great place to pass an afternoon, or two. All shopping, services, sites, outlets, restaurants, etc. are easily reached from Casa Solare.

Casa Solare sits on an ample plot of 1 hectare. It is private, but not isolated. There are fruit trees and mature oak trees on the plot. The plot is easily able to accommodate a sizable pool, olive trees, grapevines and just about anything else you need to enjoy your share of La Dolce Vita. The road to the house is a town road. Access is excellent. Water and power run to the site.
