The Monastery of Agostiniani is located at the top of the village, in a panoramic square, which it shares with the XIII century church of St. Nicolas. There is parking here with magnificent views, and also parking at the back entrance. A part of the Monastery has recently been refurbished and converted into apartments. Le Marche is rich in historial, artistic and cultural heritage which has been preserved. Le Marche, unlike its neighbours Umbria and Tuscany, is relatively undiscovered and still unspoilt by tourism. The area is rural and very little English is spoken, but the local Italians are very friendly and helpful, especially if you speak a few words of Italian. The Adriatic coast, 45 minutes away, has beautiful white sandy beaches with excellent swimming and fresh fish restaurants.
