Personal data that we process

ItaliaCasa processes personal data that is provided to us because you use our services and/or because you have provided it to us. Below is an overview of the personal data that we process:

• First and last name
• Address details
• Phone numbers
• E-mail address
• Other personal data that you have actively provided by creating a search profile on this website, in correspondence and/or by telephone.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we can not verify if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this consent, please contact us via info@italiacasa.net, we will delete this information upon your request.

For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data

ItaliaCasa processes your personal data with the following purposes:

• Sending our newsletters
• in order to be able to contact you by telephone or e-mail if necessary to carry out our services
• Inform you about our services
• Inform you about homes in Italy
• ItaliaCasa also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as information that is necessary to identify you.
   

Automated decision-making

ItaliaCasa never takes decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (eg an ItaliaCasa employee).

How long do we store personal data

ItaliaCasa does not store your personal data for longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data has been collected. We use the following retention periods for personal data:

• First and last name, Address details, Phone numbers and Email addresses: these are kept by us as long as you appreciate the sending of newsletters or as long as you use our services
• Other personal data that you have provided to us (search profile): these are kept by us as long as you use our services
• If we are legally obliged to do so, for example under applicable anti-money laundering legislation, we could keep the above described data for a longer, period but never longer than prescribed to us by law.

Sharing personal data with third parties

ItaliaCasa provides details to third parties only if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with legal obligations. We use Mailchimp to send our newsletters. If you sign up for one of our newsletters, the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Term of MailChimp.

Cookies or similar techniques that are used

ItaliaCasa uses only technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences. They also serve to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser. In addition, you can also delete all information previously saved through the settings of your browser.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. With regard to the receipt of our newsletters, you can do this by clicking on 'Update your preferences' at the bottom of each newsletter. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by our company and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal information we have in your systems to you or another organization provided by you. If you wish to exercise your right of objection and/or right to data portability or if you have other questions/comments about data processing, please send a specified request to info@italiacasa.net. In order to ensure that the request has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and national registration number black in this copy. We advise you to do so in order to protect your privacy. ItaliaCasa will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks. ItaliaCasa also wishes to inform youout that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

How we protect personal data

ItaliaCasa takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. Among other things, we use 2-step authorization for the security of our systems. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of abuse, please contact our office via info@italiacasa.net.
