Restoration project in the ramparts of Saltara, municipality of Colli al Metauro, province of Pesaro-Urbino.

 

As the photos show, it takes more than just a lick of paint and a new wallpaper to restore the house to its former glory: a total restoration is needed here. The sleeves will therefore have to be rolled up considerably, and a project will have to be made in collaboration with an architect and geometra, who can also take care of applying for permits and finding a construction company.

3 large families once lived in this ancient building next to the church on the square. The total floor area of the buildings is no less than 450 m², divided over 3 floors, and consists of 19 rooms. Semi-underground are fantastic cellars with the original vaulted ceilings. The house itself has a roof terrace, but there is also a small garden with various olive trees and varied planting.

The location is beautiful, and the pleasant Saltara is a colorful town located at an altitude of 160 m, with a park, narrow streets, a few bars, terraces, restaurants, small shops, a bank and pharmacy and a very rich history. From Saltara you can reach the superstrada in 15 minutes, which leads to Rome and Fano, a pleasant coastal town on the Adriatic coast, known for its beautiful historic center, daily fresh market (fish, vegetables, fruit and non-food) and many fish restaurants nearby the harbor and along the coast. The area is characterized by rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, small medieval villages, cute towns and many restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine and wine. In short: culture and gastronomy can be found everywhere here, and the location is breathtaking.
